With the increasing population of dogs in the area, and with more housing being developed, it is vital that dogs have a safe space to enjoy whilst also being in an area that allows other park users to enjoy their space. The old pitch and putt is very rarely used by golfers but is used many times a day by many dog owners. This space should be used to create a safe, enclosed dog park which provides space for everyone to enjoy the park as intended. This has been introduced in Bellahouston Park and is a huge success.
