I think that all schools should be teaching children how to grow vegetables as part of the curriculum
All children should be given classes in growing fruit and vegetables. This would stand them in good stead for the rest of their l;ives.
They should turn parts of the school playing fields into a community garden.
Children should grow vegetables there. It coul dbe included as part of the home economics and biology classes.
It would be good for them to learn how to do this and to get the exercise too.
They could even get experienced gardeners to volunteer to help them, and this way they would get to know older folk and might teach them more respect for the older people who live in their community
